The follow on video to this is termite inspection report (pest report, pest inspection report or building inspection report).
A Termite inspection report is a thorough inspection of the sub-floor, roof void, interior and exterior of the house. Takes anywhere from maybe 45 minutes to an hour to carry out. So what we do is we look to see whether the termites are coming up, we especially take notice of these ant caps. Ant caps are designed to enable us to see the termites easier. Because at the ant caps, termites will come up the wall, come along the ant cap, and they go over the ant cap. This is what they call a little bit of termite nesting in the floor. You can see that termite lead going up the wall there. Starts at the ground, climbs its way up, into the floor and starts eating the floor. When I'm shining around the torch I'm not just shining around aimlessly, I'm looking for subtle discrepancies in the timber like as you can see here how it's been raised. That's a typical sign that there could be some termites in that piece of timber. See how it has left the paint behind. Just go like this, there is no structural integrity behind this timber at all.
